Research

According to World Health Organization(WHO), over 1.1 billion teenagers and young adults are at risk of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) due to listening to their personal audio devices in unsafe volume for long periods of time and exposure to damaging levels of sound at noisy entertainment venues.

App Overview

Decigraph app can detect the decibel of the music playing. The y-axis of the graph indicates decibel values, and x-axis indicates the time. When you tap the graph, it will show you what music was playing, at what volume and the decibel values. The user can then pinpoint dangerously loud songs and restrict the maximum volume.
